'Guardian' is about connection and trust and being open. While a gentle set of rodders keep us aligned to where we we are going. Emotions are most important to us, guiding us through a life full of events, to work from feeling, is what inspires my work.

'Brutales' originated with two pieces I made on a rainy weekend in the Otways, trying to process that if you remove something important from someone, that loss will now shape them at the core, even give them strength.
A FAMILY AFFAIR. 2020
A family has a shared path, organically growing apart over time. Some might turn into opposites, yet they are forever tied together through names and lifelines. Can one exist completely singular - without any anchor point of belonging? We might start with the best intentions of staying aligned, but then as growing is learning, we can’t help it, but start to explore further. Trying to become the unexpected version of oneself. But can you unsee the maker and it’s marks left on your character traits? And then it happens, starting a new family - everything repeats.
